Effective date: May 12, 2026
These Terms and Conditions are a practical summary for Memora users. They are not a substitute for legal advice. By creating an account or using Memora, you agree to these terms.
1. What Memora provides
Memora is an adaptive study app. Students can create subjects, add exam dates and curricula, upload PDF study materials, extract topics and flashcards, run timed or flashcard study sessions, answer quizzes, and track mastery through spaced repetition scheduling.
Memora may use AI systems, including Gemini, to process PDFs, extract topics, create flashcards, generate quizzes, and support study recommendations. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect, so you are responsible for checking important study material against your original sources.
2. Accounts and access
You need an account to use the main app. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Memora uses Supabase for authentication and account data storage.
3. Your study content
You keep ownership of the PDFs, notes, subject names, exam dates, topics, answers, and other study material you add to Memora. You grant Memora permission to process that content only as needed to provide the app, including extraction, scheduling, storage, display, and improvement of your study experience.
Only upload material you have the right to use. Do not upload illegal content, malware, private information you are not allowed to process, or material that violates another person's rights.
4. Plans, limits, and payments
Memora may offer Free, Pro, and Max plans. Plan limits can include the number of subjects, PDFs per subject, maximum PDF size, full document processing, and subtopic extraction. The current limits for each plan are shown in the app or on the pricing page.
Paid upgrades are completed through Paddle checkout. Paddle processes payment information and may show the final price, currency, applicable taxes, and fees before you pay. Your paid access begins after payment is completed successfully.
Paid subscriptions may be offered monthly or annually and renew automatically until cancelled. You are responsible for cancelling before renewal if you do not want to continue. If you cancel or downgrade, the change usually takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, so you can continue using paid features until that period ends.
Existing study data may remain in your account after a downgrade, but creation, upload, or premium features may be limited by the lower plan. A downgrade may be blocked until your account usage fits the target plan limits. Paid plan prices, limits, and included features may change, but changes will not apply retroactively to a billing period that has already been paid unless required by law or by Paddle.
5. Refunds
You may request a refund within 7 days of your first payment or a renewal by contacting study.memora@gmail.com. Refunds may be denied where there is abuse, excessive usage, a violation of these terms, or a payment-provider constraint that prevents the refund.
This refund policy does not limit any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in your location. Where the law gives you stronger refund, cancellation, or withdrawal rights, those legal rights apply.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse Memora, attempt to bypass plan limits, overload the service, reverse engineer protected parts of the app, interfere with other users, scrape the service, or use Memora for unlawful activity. We may suspend or restrict accounts that create security, legal, abuse, or operational risk.
7. Intellectual property
Memora, including its product design, software, branding, workflows, and original interface content, belongs to Memora or its licensors. These terms do not give you ownership of the app. Your own uploaded study content remains yours.
8. Availability and changes
Memora is provided as an evolving product. Features may change, break, be rate limited, or be unavailable during maintenance, provider outages, AI service failures, database issues, or deployment changes. We may update, add, or remove features to keep the product useful and sustainable.
9. Disclaimers
Memora is a study aid, not a guarantee of exam performance. Scheduling, mastery scores, flashcards, quizzes, AI extraction, and recommendations are provided "as is" and may contain mistakes. You are responsible for your study decisions, exam preparation, and verification of content.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Memora is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, lost study time, failed exam outcomes, or reliance on inaccurate AI-generated content.
11. Termination
You may stop using Memora at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for the service, or use the app in a way that is unlawful or harmful.
12. Updates to these terms
We may update these terms as Memora changes. If the changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to make them visible in the app or on the website. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
